Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, James Lawrence Herren and Joyce Dodd Herren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Herren of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sister, Mary Cook (William) of Moundville, Ala.; and brothers, Gary Herren (Dicie) of Northport and David Herren of Harselle, Ala.
Dwayne was a 1980 graduate of Holt High School. He worked for K-Mart until he graduated from the University of Alabama in 1990. He then worked for the Saturn Corporation and General Motors until 2020 as an electrical engineer.
