Lela Ann Williams, 85 passed away peacefully at home January 7, 2025. She was born August 28, 1939 in Eutaw, Alabama to Annie Bell Hall & Billy Thomas who preceded her in her death. She graduated from Carver High School in Eutaw, Alabama, shortly after graduating she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked in the hospital. She later moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she remained until she departed. She was well known affectionately as mom or grandma to many who knew her. She worked at Wright’s Restaurant in Alberta City for 43 years where she was well known for her homemade biscuits and good southern soul food. She was preceded in death by her sons Aaron Williams, Charles Williams, and daughter Mearin Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories 3 children James Williams Jr., Irma Williams, Cassandra Townsend(Willie Townsend Jr) all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

She also leaves to cherish her memories 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
