Lemley Kate Simmons passed away peacefully in the arms of her mommy with her daddy by her side on January 13, 2019 at the age of 18 days. She was born on December 26, 2018 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. 
Lemley was the daughter of Justin Simmons and Melissa Williams both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. 
She is survived by her parents, her sister, Carsyn Simmons of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; paternal grandparents, Danny and Sherry Simmons of Union Grove, Alabama; maternal grandparents, Terry and Dorothy Williams of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; aunts, Robyn Whinery and Shanda White; cousins, April Whinery, Drew Whinery, Austin Simmons, Alexander White and Aiden White. She is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Lemley's life here was short, but she had purpose and meaning. God created her and allowed us 18 days to love her and make memories of her for us to cherish for the rest of our lives. Her mommy and daddy would like to give a special thank you to all who covered their baby girl in prayer.
Pallbearer is Drew Whinery. 
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Cooper, Dr. Brian Sims and all of the wonderful NICU nurses at UAB Hospital.
