TUSCALOOSA – Lillie Samantha Watson Britt, age 94, passed away May 15, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dolan Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Byron R. Britt; daughter, Patricia “TI” Jones; parents, Daisy and Claude Watson; and sister, Helen Jenelle Dobbins.
She is survived by her sister, Lizzie Mae Watson Wilson; brother, Douglas Daniel Watson; son-in-law, James “Jim” Jones (Regina); nieces, Pam Strickland (David), Donna Allen, and Debbie Oswalt (Larry); nephews, Kenneth Wilson (Rhonda) and Darrell Wilson (Teresa).
Pallbearers will be Jim Jones, Kenneth Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Larry Oswalt, Larry Dobbins, David Strickland, Dustin Wilson, and Greg Herring.
Honorary pallbearers are staff and residents of Pine Valley Retirement Community.
