

Age 66, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Janet Louise Hawkins Frady.
Visitation will be 1-3pm on October 1st, 2020, Memory Chapel, Tuscaloosa Alabama, with the service following at 3:00pm.
She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, Tennessee 11:00am on October 3rd, 2020.
Survivors-
Linda is survived by her spouse of 47 years, Rev Bernie C Deffinger, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Daughters- Carrie Lynn Deffinger Lounsbury (Lynn) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Lisa Rae Deffinger Lamb (Rodney) of Cleveland, Georgia.
Brothers- Gary Lee Frady (Jennie) of Persimmon, Georgia; Half-Brothers
Timothy Stanley Frady of Durham, Connecticut and Joseph Cline Frady of Springfield, Connecticut.
Father- Talmadge M Frady of Persimmon, Georgia.
Grandchildren- Brookelyn Grace Lamb of Seoul, South Korea; PFC Jared Benjamin Lamb, United States Marine Corp, of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Ashlynn Faith Lounsbury of Mt Juliet, Tennessee.
Linda Rae was born August 19, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The oldest child of Talmadge and Janet Frady. Sister of Gary Frady and half sister of Tim Frady and Joe Frady. She graduated from New Richmond High School, Ohio in 1972, then attended Trevecca Nazarene College (Univ) 1972-1973. She married SP-4 Bernie Deffinger, United States Army, in 1973, then stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1974, while stationed in Germany, their first child was born. Soon followed their second child in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1975.
In 1981, Bernie answered the call to ministry and the family moved to Tennessee. As a pastor’s wife, Linda served in nearly every capacity at her church with the heart of a servant. She worked outside of the home in the areas of Financial Aid and Accounts Payable with a love for the college students. Linda is remembered by her smile, laughter, and genuine love for others, but above all, her love for the LORD. She was an excellent wife, wonderful mother, and a proud Nana.
