NORTHPORT – Linda Sue "Momma Sue" Owen died November 9, 2016. Services will be 12 noon Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Memory Chapel with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing.She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Allen "Big Al" Owen; parents, Frank Moody Fields and Hester Shirley Fields; brothers, James, Bobby, and George Fields; sister, Cora Lee Barger; and granddaughter, Courtney Samantha Benton. Survivors include her daughter, Terisa Darlene Sissy Phillips Benton (Andy); sons, Jim Phillips (Denise), Robert Owen, Jr. (Tammy) and Joe Clayton Owen; sisters, Shelby Mitchell and Shirley Ann Mitchell (Charles); brothers, Bill Fields (Ora) and Wilton Fields; grandchildren, Justin Blake Phillips, Corbin "Slick" Wilson Appleby Phillips, Alex Ross Benton, Josh Owen, Robert A. Owen III, Jeremy Owen, Ashley Owen and Clayton Owen; and great-grandchildren, John Ross and five others. The family would like to thank Sue's caregivers, her sister, Shelby Mitchell, Linda Steinl, Denise Tidmore Smith, Teri Tibbs Evans, Vickie Powell, Teresa Ledbetter, Tammy Sullivan, Jessica Sullivan, Denise Tierce, for their love and outstanding service. Mom had the best of care and loved these girls dearly. Pallbearers will be Justin Blake Phillips, Corbin Wilson Appleby Phillips, Danny Fields, Arnette Fields, Marty Miller, Lee Echols. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Debra Davis, Dr. Azam, Lottie Henley, friends and customers of Big Al's, Townsend Ford, Alfa Insurance, Northport Fire and Rescue, Northstar EMS, Mr. Bills Restaurant, Grace Benton, friends and neighbors of Royal Oak Circle, Katie and Larry Overstreet, Doris Appleby-Marriott, Hospice of West Alabama, Renee and George Robertson and Robertson's BBQ.
