

Lloyd Cotis Hegenbarth age 65 of Cottondale, Ala., passed away on September 12, 2014 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. Services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Memory Chapel will Keith Roberts and Allen Mallory officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the chapel.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Flora Mae and Theodore Hegenbarth; sister, Nina Sue Lockart; grandparents, Marhta and Francis Theodore ""Popsie"" Hegenbarth; and grandparents Elois and Cotis Lane.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Carla Crowder Hegenabrth; son, Trevor Lloyd Hegenbarth; brothers, Ted Hegenbarth and Michael Lee Hegenbarth; sister, Martha Elois Hegenbarth; nephew, Thomas Alan Burch III; and his nieces, Tracy Lynn Davis and Ashley Savannah Fowler.
Lloyd was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 26, 1949, son of the late Flora Mae and Theodore Hegenbarth. He was an alumni of The University of Alabama and the longtime owner of Nick's Original Filet House (Nicks in the Sticks) in Tuscaloosa. His unique sense of humor, quick wit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Keith Lancaster, Forrest Wiggins, George McKee, Ted Goode, Allen Mallory, and Donnie Graves.
