Louise "Snookie" Shelby French

The service will be held Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at Memory Chapel with Reverend Billy Gray officiating. There will be no graveside service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joel Francis “Jack” French, parents; Newt and Fannie Mae Shelby, and siblings; Thomas Shelby, Doris Shelby Mann, Jean Shelby Sims, and Roy Shelby.

She is survived by her son; Joel French of North Carolina, daughters; Carolyn Mendiola and Corinne Elliott (Harold), grandchildren; Brandon Taylor of Texas, Sefi Schiller (Eric) of Pennsylvania, Jordan Elliott (Minnie), Daniel Follosco (Elizabeth) of California and Jessica Kuykendall (Dane); eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Jordan Elliott, Daniel Follosco, John Sims, Dane Kuykendall, and Tim Humphries. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Browne, Five Points Baptist Church Esther-Hope Sunday School class, and Hospice of West Alabama.
