

MOUNDVILLE – Louise D. Johnson, age 90, of Moundville, died February 25, 2016, at Moundville Health & Rehabilitation. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carl and Evie L. Dockery; husband, Aubrey Johnson; brothers, Malone Dockery, J.D. Dockery and James Dockery; and sisters, Lucille Crawford, Lois McGill and Ola Mae Nichols. Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Spence (Thomas) of Moundville, Ala. and Lynne Chavis (Bob) of Brookwood, Ala.; sister, Kathleen Dudley (Junior) of Fayette, Ala.; grandchildren, Michelle Dockery and Toby Spence; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Louise was retired from Focus on Senior Citizens. She had previously worked in the school system lunchroom and in the cafeteria at the Moundville Nursing Home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed cooking and fellowshipping with family and friends. She always made everyone feel welcome in her home. Pallbearers will be Toby Spence, Mark Dockery, Ty Spence, Mitchell Kennedy, Caleb Crawford and Dannie Spence .Honorary pallbearers are friends in Moundville Community, Dr. Skelton, Indian Mounds Baptist Church, Moundville Health & Rehab staff and residents and special caregiver, Angie James.
