Macky A. Barger, age 68, of Vance, died Feb. 21, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruby Barger; his sister, Merle Gwin; his brother-in-law, James Gwin; and his brother, Riley Barger.
Survivors include his sisters, Carol McFerrin (Ellis) of Concord and Denise Dennis (Mike) of West Blocton; and his brothers, J.P. Barger of Jacksonville, Fla., Gregory Barger of Cottondale, Randy Barger (Betty) of Brent, Derrick Barger (Linda) of Cottondale, and Tim Barger of Vance.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Barger, Eric Barger, Trent Barger, Johnny Cooley, Kevin Young, and Lee Hill.
