
Margaret “Marge” age 91, a life long resident of Tuscaloosa, died August 12, 2013, at St. Andrews Rehab Center in Panama City, Fla. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Chapel with Freddie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Robertson; son, Richard Robertson; father, Louis Crowder; mother, Addie Crowder; sister, Kathleen Hammett; granddaughter, Shannon Robertson; and grandson, Drew Robertson.
Survivors include her son, Ken Robertson (Ida); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a Nazarene by faith, taught Sunday school at Alberta Church of the Nazarene before going to her husband's church, Taylor's Chapel Church of the Nazarene where she also served.
She spent most of her life as a cosmetologist in the Tuscaloosa area. She was responsible for starting The Board of Cosmetology in Tuscaloosa. She owned her own shop and worked in several others also serving several funeral homes in the area. In her retirement years, she also was a caregiver and volunteer reading teacher in Tuscaloosa City Schools.
She was an avid bowler, loved fishing, and a member of Tuscaloosa Moose Lodge 804. She never met a stranger and loved everyone and everyone that met her loved her. She will be missed.
Pallbearers will be David Carter, Adam Carter, Jason Daniel, Douglas Rhinehart, Paul Rhinehart, Shane Boothe, Larry Rhinehart, and Josh Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers are Tuscaloosa Moose Lodge # 804 members and friends.
