Margie Meggs Curry, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died September 20, 2017, at Forest Manor Rehab. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Kris Roberts and Gary Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Meggs and Mattie Smith Meggs; four brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Curry; goddaughter, Cynthia Snow; sons, Roy "Sammy" Curry (Tami) and Donald Wade Curry (Brandee); sister, Willie Farmer; and grandchildren, Reed Curry, Hannah Curry and Shelley Curry.
Margie was a loving and caring wife and mother. She always put others before herself. She worked many years at West End Christian School and then DCH.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Duncanville United Methodist Church, neighbors and friends and special friends Mary Jones and Norma Ball.
