Alline was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Winters “Big Mama”, and her husband, Charles Davis. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Baines (Duane), Tina McCullough (Paul), Tonya Wilkerson (Donald), Calaine Duncan (Randy), and Bradley Davis (Katie); siblings, Teresa Bennett, Jimmy Hollingsworth, and Monroe A. Winters (Elayne); grandchildren, Hunter Cronan (Abby), Chase Cronan (Elisabeth), Andrew Baines (Braxton), Maison McCullough (Kristian), Rebecca Aaron (Isaiah), Carly Rose, Jay Duncan, Caedmon Davis, Owen Davis, Charlotte Davis, Oliver Davis, and Claire Davis, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members.
Alline was born November 19, 1950, and lived the majority of her days as a resident of Alberta City in Tuscaloosa. Alline was the devoted, beloved wife of Charlie Davis for 35 years before his passing. Their faithful and sacrificial love was the soil in which their large family was cultivated and nurtured. Alline was known for her selfless love, tenacious spirit, and enduring devotion and service to her family. After receiving a degree in Nursing from Shelton State, she spent the majority of her career working as an LPN at Bryce Hospital where she earned a reputation for going above and beyond for her patients out of genuine love for them. She primarily worked nightshifts, because she wanted to be with her children whenever they were home. All their remembrances of their mother are of steady presence; she succeeded at her mission of wanting them to be known and cherished. Her larger-than-life presence in the world resonated with fierce love, hilarious wit, abiding faith, and a sheltering defense in the face of challenges. The void left by her passing is felt deeply by her beloved children, grandchildren, family, and friends. They are comforted in the knowledge that she is alive in heaven because of her faith in Christ Jesus. Like trees planted, Alline’s legacy will endure through her children and their children for generations to come because of her faithful time on earth.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Hunter Cronan, Chase Cronan, Maison McCullough, Caedmon Davis, and Owen Davis, and her sons-in-law, Duane Baines, Randy Duncan, Paul McCullough, and Donald Wilkerson.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Summerford, Tuscaloosa Nephrology Associates (particularly Nurse Rikita), Dr. F. Fabian Salinas, and Dr. Quinton Matthews.
