Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her parents Byron G. Cooke and Mary Helen Adkins Cooke and a brother-in-law Dennis Webb.
She is survived by her husband Jerry L. Henson, a son Byron C. Henson, two sisters Joan Strickland and Donna Webb, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews and a host of extended family.
Marilyn loved to cook, especially baking, from an early age and throughout her life she excelled at both.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Marilyn’s honor to: Skyland Baptist Church –Kitchen Fund, 3320 Skyland Blvd. E., Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
