Marina Lynn Gann

COTTONDALE | Marina Lynn Gann, age 41, of Cottondale, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Heritage Chapel with Pastor Vic Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the chapel.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Pearl Gann, Girdley and Delma Birchfield; grandfather, Rev. Dr. Bronnie Nichols, Sr. and a host of uncles and aunts.

Survivors include her father, Randle Gann of Winfield; mother, Dell Ann Gann Nichols of Cottondale; stepfather, Bronnie Nichols, Jr. of Cottondale; brother, Blake Gann (Angelia "Boogie") of Cottondale; special aunt, Teresa Birchfield of Cottondale, and a host of cousins and friends.

Marina was a very special person loved by everyone who met her. She loved being in the company of friends and family. Some of her most fun times were shopping, eating out, and being a member of Happy Feet Line Dancers and Moose Lodge #804. Marina's favorite pastime was listening to 100.1 Catfish Country while reading novels written in braille. The doctors said she was a living miracle from birth, through life, and even unto death. She and her mother Dell Ann were lifelong friends. Love, Always.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Watkins, Brandon Watkins, Nicholas Watkins, Steve Forester, Lannie Key, and Jr. Clark.
