A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Vic Hutchins and Jr. Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Arlevie Boyd, sisters, Barbara Pruitt, Jodie Gregg, Vivian Smith, brothers, Harvey Boyd, William Boyd, and Randy Boyd.
She is survived by her daughters, Mymsye Comer (Simon) and Kathy Volkmer (Brad); goddaughter, Amanda Slawson; sons, Bruce Waldon, William Waldon (Kristy), Tracy Waldon, and Daniel Atchison(Eddy); 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Waldon, William Waldon, Tracy Waldon, Daniel Atchison, Ty Corbell, Ethan Fondren, Rhys Corbell, and Yancey Langston.
Honorary pallbearers are Pro Health/Hospice of Tuscaloosa, Eternal Faith Church, West Brookwood Church, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
