George,
I am so sorry to learn of Martha's passing. I only knew her through the dental office but felt a connection with her because of Missy.
She had a way with words and when she told a story it was often a funny one that made me chuckle. She was delightful and I looked forward to her visits. 
59 years of marriage is a gift and a blessing and I know it will not be an easy transition to walk through life without her. 
Falling in love with the milkman, as she often said, really paid off for her!

Everybody in the world loved Martha! I was a drug rep who was older, tired, and tired of the job somedays. Martha was the bright spot on my route and I loved her dearly. We did lunches there and she always talked about how much she loved her children and what all they were doing. It was such a joy and gift to be in her midst. She never shirked away from talking about Jesus and how glorious HE is and how blessed we are. I know her family will miss her tremendously. I will be praying for you. Nobody can laugh like Martha laughed!  Angeline Burns

Taffy, my prayers go out to you and your family.   I loved your mother to pieces.   She was so much fun to be around.   I will never forget The Conquistadore trip.   She was a special lady.   Prayers sweet friend!

Martha was "room mother" for our class more times than I can count when Taffy and I were at Skyland Elementary. She hosted countless sleepovers, slumber parties, and field trips for us girls while we were growing up. She was our team's cheer mom at Central High and attended every practice and competition. Her wisdom shone through in the stories she shared with us. Her actions demonstrated her love. Always smiling. Always beautiful. So blessed to have known your mom and NaNa. Sending love and hugs and prayers for comfort.

What an amazing life that we have the honor to celebrate. Words would not begin to convey Martha Hinkle….What an amazing mom, and outstanding NaNa.

She was born just after WWII.   Martha entered this world at the beginning of the industrial revolution and she has been the spark this nation needed. Her parents divorced while she was a young girl,  but, as usual, Martha turned her heartbreak into an abundance of LOVE and family strength.

Martha met and married George Hinkle in 1963. Due to their ages,  her mother did not believe that marriage would ever last. On January 23, 2022,  Martha and George celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. When mama was 15, she quit high school to begin her family. She was a mom at 15, 18, and 22. What a mom she was!

Martha devoted her time and attention to her children and husband. Her family was the ultimate focus for mama.  She was our best friend, our ultimate play pal and an awesome classroom mom. 

Martha’s profession was truly…a mom. She was always there to support us… no matter what. The assurance of a mom’s undying love and support has been the bedrock for all three of us.

When we entered elementary school,  Martha entered the workforce. Martha was short in stature, but long on achievements and success. She was ambitious and very determined. Mama excelled in life and education. Mom made a commitment to obtain her LPN, then her RN, then she specialized in Mental Health nursing. Martha’s passion for patients and people paved the way for her success and many life long friends.

Martha worked in health care and later transitioned to geriatrics. Mom was always looking for a new challenge and willing to assist in her children’s successes. Martha retired from nursing to begin working at Kevin’s land surveying company. 

Along the way, Martha and George were blessed with seven grandsons.

My gift was calling her Mom

Anut Martha used to babysit me and Merry in the afternoons before dad got off!! We always had such a good time with her! She was always kind and sweet! She was very encouraging to me when I was getting my nursing degree and I always appreciated her telling me to make sure I go back and get my Rn.  I will miss and love her!! 

So sorry for your loss thoughts and prayers for the family during this time of sadness may God comfort and give you strength during the coming days!
