

Marvin Wyatt, Jr., known by most people as Junior, passed away peacefully and entered his heavenly home on November 12, 2021. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Souls Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Junior was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Wyatt; father, Marvin Wyatt, Sr.; sisters, Louise Driver and Margaret Speigle; and brothers, Jimmy Wyatt, Bobby Wyatt, and Gerald Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Wyatt; daughter, Janna Sanford (Terry); sons, Brennan Wyatt (Kristie) and Chris Hunter (Candice); sister, Nancy Huskey; brother-in-law, Ronnie Britton (Kay); grandchildren, Morgan Hitt (Tyler), Chandler Wyatt, Garrett Hunter, Grant Sanford, Lane Sanford, Logan Hunter, and Brooks Wyatt; great-granddaughter, Wyndel Hitt; and a whole host of friends and loved ones.
Junior was married to his wife, Dianne, for 27 wonderful years. Junior loved his family dearly. He had a warm and genuine personality and was kind-hearted and loving. He always set a Godly example for his family to live by. He was a member of First Assembly of God since 1999 and a member of the Men's Prayer Group for over 20 years. He was in the National Guard, and he worked as a fireman at Station 24 in Birmingham, Alabama for approximately 20 years until he took an early retirement to care for his children. He also worked with his brother building cabinets and later with his son-in-law at his business. Junior loved Alabama Football, hunting with his son, son-in-law and grandsons, spending time at his river house with his family, and wood working. He was also an amazing cook and especially loved cooking for his family. He will be missed by his family and friends, and the family would like to thank those who have reached out to them during his sickness and during their loss.
Pallbearers will be Jim Sansom, Guillmo Olea, Jim Aldridge, Ron Woods, Raymond Giles, and Ron Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers are Tuscaloosa First Assembly Church, special caregiver Laverne Oliver, and Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Junior's memory to First Assembly Church Building Fund or a charity of one's choice.
