Mary was known as a sweet and kind elegant lady. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved for her family and friends to come to her home. She was an individual who has touched many lives over her 87 years. She loved for her family and Beloved Husband to be together as much as possible. David her life love was so caring and she the same for him. Cooking and sewing for family and others, while teaching them to cook proved how good her prepared food was and family will continue using these recipes year after year. Caring for loved ones and gardening will be the things she will be most remembered for by those who knew and loved her. She loved working at Dr. Luther Richardson’s Dermatology. Co-workers there were like family to her and she enjoyed being with them. She loved playing canasta with friends and playing rook with family, along with being an avid reader for as long as she could possibly see well. Her love and compassion for children led her to becoming a Sunday School Teacher for years at the Coaling Baptist Church where she & her Husband loved attending and became friends with many couples who would travel together. Their precious dog, Itty Bitty, they passed back & forth to each other and held her for hours. Itty Bitty had to be allowed to travel or they would not go themselves. Mary belonged to the Tuscaloosa Garden Club & The Pilot Club of Tuscaloosa as President for 2 consecutive years, while being an active member there for over 20 years. She loved God and truly was an amazing woman who will be missed by many now that she has been united in Heaven with her husband, siblings, parents and other friends & family members all experiencing only joy, peace & happiness forever more. That’s hope for us all.
Pallbearers will be Chris Blaich, James Warren, Cary Skelton, Carson Skelton, Whit Elliott, and Brooks Elliott.
