COTTONDALE – Mary Jacqueline Ward, age 72, passed away July 26, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be 3 pm Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Coaling Cemetery with Bro. Gary Ward and Bro. Todd Burkhalter officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Estelle Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Janna Sanford (Terry); son, Brennan Wyatt (Kristie); sister, Janice Jeans (John); grandchildren, Morgan Hitt (Tyler), Chandler Wyatt, Brooks Wyatt, Grant Sanford, and Lane Sanford; great-grandchild, Wyndel Hitt; and life-long friend, Nancy Snider.
Jackie loved her family and friends and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and very first great-grandchild. She always had a beautiful smile and if you ever met her you most likely remember her for her kindness and gentle sprit. She always saw the good in people. She was selfless, simple and never expected anything in return.
Jackie was very talented. She loved to paint in her church painting class, enjoyed making all kinds of crafts, and had such a “green thumb” when it came to plants. She loved the outdoors and looked forward to camping every year. She loved all animals especially her pets that spoiled doesn't even describe. She was active in her church, always willing to help wherever needed. Most importantly she loved Jesus Christ her Savior. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
We would like to thank everyone for the prayers and outpouring of love during her sickness and her passing.
Pallbearers will be John Jeans, Terry Sanford, Grant Sanford, Lane Sanford, and Brooks Wyatt.
Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff at DCH Cancer Center, Coaling Methodist Church Family, Southern Care Hospice, and special nurses Shera and Brittany. A special thanks to Dr. John Dubay for his excellent care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Coaling United Methodist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
