She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Leonard Russell; mother, Ida Cook and father, Jerman Cook; siblings, Ouida Deerman, Joe Cook, Buddy Cook, Edith Lord, Earl Cook, and Bob Cook.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service for Mavis Cook Russell will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Memory Hill Gardens at the mausoleum located at 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
A special thank you the honorary pallbearers and her devoted friends, Debbie Sanchez and family, Presbyterian Apartment friends and employees, Amedisys Home and Health Care, and Aspire of West Alabama.
Her special friend Debbie Sanchez will be officiating the graveside service.
