On September 25, 2026, Willene moved to Heaven to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was compassionately cared for in her final hours by Dr. Moellinger and the excellent nurses and staff at UAB Medical West. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles; her two daughters, Kim Whatley (Mike) and Jan House (Gary); four grandchildren, Alayna, Julianna (Elliott), James and Lakely; two sisters, Kathy Harrison (Lynn) and Leslie Morris (Ed). She was an active member of Alabaster First Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama. She will be lovingly remembered by everyone as a genuine Southern Lady, with a true servant's heart.
Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, US, on September 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Gardens , 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, US, on September 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
