Misty Dianne Baxter

Misty Dianne Baxter, age 45, of Moundville, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Springhill Church with Matthew Kornman, Ray Grantham, and Chris Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Misty was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Ann Breland; father, James Shirley Breland.

She is survived by her daughter, Katelin Baxter; sons, Dakota and Travis Baxter; sisters, Loretta Holliday and Amanda Wallace (Matt); brothers, Jimmy Breland (Patty), Maurice Breland (Tammy), Ronald Breland (Sonia), Greg Breland (Jerrica), and Dusty Breland; 22 nieces and nephews; 33 great nieces and nephews.

Our mother was dear to all our hearts. She was our biggest supporter in everything we did and was proud of all our accomplishments. She was a huge Alabama football fan and loved doing anything for anybody. She was the type of woman to give the shirt off her back to anybody who needed it more than she did. She loved making everybody laugh and having a good time. She loved picking with everyone, and you knew if she picked at you, she loved you. She loved driving her pilot car at ST Bunn and everyone she worked with. She truly enjoyed being a member of the Moundville Volunteer Fire department.

She loved her three kids dearly and held them all in a special place in her heart. She showed her love to them in many ways whether it was fussing at one for not listening and getting on bulls, supporting one every step of the way following in her footsteps, or being flag football’s biggest cheerleader. She was an amazing mother, and we will forever be grateful. We will forever remember her. Dakota, Travis, and Katelin are very thankful for the love and support shown during this time. It means more than anyone will ever know. Thank You to Everyone!

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Breland, Maurice Breland, Ronald Breland, Greg Breland, Dusty Breland, Seth Welshans, Mark Dockery and Nathaniel Stratton.

Honorary pallbearers are Paige Hoggle and Thomas Waters of Hale County Emergency Medical Services, DCH ER- Dr. Pepper and staff, Tiffanie Drake Mott, Moundville Volunteer Fire Department Members and Auxiliary, Thomas Averette and family and Memory Chapel Funeral Home staff.
