Mother was born April 1, 1939. She met the love of her life and our wonderful father early in life and they spent 63 years deeply in love. She worked at Holt Elementary School until her retirement where she took care of the students, faculty and staff. However, her most important role was being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and prayer warrior. She excelled in every way in every category. With each generation of children her love seemed to increase. It was her greatest joy to be with her grandchildren and great grands, and oh how they loved her! Our mother was a friend to anyone she came into contact with and her concern was always sincere and genuine. She was especially close to all her nieces and nephews as they were to her. She was at everything any of her children, grandchildren and great grands were doing and was always their biggest cheerleader. Mother loved music and was a long-time pianist at First Freewill Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa. She then was a regular worshiper and choir member at Hopewell Baptist Church until her health forced her to worship at home. Her greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She made sure to teach and instill Christian principles in all her family and anyone she came into contact with. We know our Mother is reunited with our Daddy and all of our loved ones in Heaven and although she will be missed in every way, we are content in knowing that we will join them all soon.
Pallbearers will be Andy Guy, PJ Guy, David Guy, Cameron Kelly, Michael Fair, and Justin Snyder.
