Today we honor the life of Nancy Johnson. Nancy was a truly amazing woman; a God-fearing, Jesus-serving, prayer warrior. Her dedication to God, her family, and her church was unparallelled. Her long life was adorned with many miracles from the very beginning, ranging from healing to the abundance of her children.
Everyone who was fortune enough to know Nancy were often regaled with the stories of her life. She loved to travel - She and her husband Gilbert spent many summers driving and visiting new places all over the United State.
In front of her home, Nancy tended a garden of beautiful flowers. Roses, hydrangeas -all tended with love and diligence like she has done with so many other aspects of her life.
Nancy also loved decorating, especially for the holidays. The front porch of the Johnson home was always lively, filled with laughter and love. Her favorite was Christmas. A tree covered in peppermint candy canes, presents stacked up and over-flowing, family coming together to fil every room: celebrating.
Nancy Johnson lived an extraordinary life, one filled with wonder and beautiful memories.
"How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you."
Psalm 84:1-4
