

Nicholas Stephen Bohin II age 81, of Coker, Alabama passed away on August 16, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Victorious Life Church, 15360 Sylvan Loop Road, Fosters, Alabama 35463 with Dennis Avery officiating.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Bohin-Gray-Smith; father, Nicholas Bohin Sr.; grandparents, Stefan and Mary Bohin, Silas and Eliza Baber.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Kay Nester Bohin; daughters, Lorna Victoria Bohin, Stephany Bohin Cannon (Johnny Jr.), Suzanna Mishelle Gibson; sons, Nicholas Stephan Bohin III (Rachel), Porter Braxton Bohin (Lizzy); brothers, Danny Christopher Bohin of princeton WV, Bobby Lee Hamilton of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Hannah Morris, Elizabeth Blewitt, Jax Morris (Shyanne), Victoria Murphy (Austin), Tristan Gibson, Johnny Cannon III, and Daphne Cannon (Shannon); great grandchildren, Ava Morris, Ivy and Briar Murphy, Indiana Gaines, Brewer Bohin.
Nick was born in Passaic, NJ, in 1945 and moved to Tidewater, W.V. at a young age. He graduated in 1964 from Welch High School in W.V. Nick married Bessie Kay Nester in 1972, and they spent 54 years together. They gave birth to four children. Nick worked in the Coal Mines while living in W.V. In 1986, he moved to Tuscaloosa, AL. He worked for Tuscaloosa Steel Corp., Jay Electro/ Mechanical, and NorAm. He was always learning new things to better his life and to care for his family. He also taught classes at Shelton State Community College in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance.
Nick loved church and his church family. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, singing, cooking, painting, and spending time with his family. He was always quick with a joke and never met a stranger. He loved and was loved by many. He will be missed.
