Peggie was born in Gordo, Alabama on 09/20/1937. she graduated from Brookwood High School class of '56. She lived the majority of her life in Tuscaloosa County.she was a feisty thing and had no problem speaking her mind. this could be a good thing or bad thing at times. But once you met her you would never forget her. the last time she went to daddy's grave, i could hear her saying "Don't rush me Horton, i'll be there soon enough". i guess he was telling her she needed to come on, that he was ready to see her again. even though our hearts are breaking, and we will miss her so very much, us knowing that they are together now, gives our family a little peace!
pallbearers will be Evan Horton, Blake Dismukes, Brook McGee, Holden Junkin, Shea Henderson, Buddy Stephens, and Liam Stephens.
Honorary pallbearers are Carolyn and Wayne Cox, Calvin Taylor, Denny Capley, and the Brookwood Class of 1956.
