Randy Dale Dixon, Sr. was born to Joe Abraham Dixon and Mildred Dixon on December 10, 1946, in Rock, West Virginia. He married Vickie Lynn Dixon on December 6, 1963, and they were married for 55 years. They had three children, Randy Dale Dixon, Jr., Rhonda Gale Moore, and Aaron Broch Dixon. They had two grandsons, Douglas Bryant Moore, and Kaydan Broch Dixon, and one great-grandson, Jackson Bryant Moore.
Though originally from West Virginia, Randy has lived in Tuscaloosa for the last twenty-seven and a half years, of which twenty-six was shared with his wife, Vickie Lynn Dixon, who preceded him in death in January of last year. He was a good husband, father, and friend. He was a strong man, a hard worker, a man of faith who loved his pets, all traits he passed down to his children. He stood tall, lived life on his terms, but was not a selfish man. He had a wonderful smile and a witty sense of humor told the best stories and had a talent for woodworking. He loved watching Alabama football, but, his greatest pride was his children and grandchildren. He is remembered fondly by family and friends alike. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to www.TSAlliance.org/donate to find a cure for Tuberous Sclerosis in support of Jackson Bryant Moore, great-grandson of Randy Dale Dixon, Sr.
