Ray Fields

Ray Fields went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 28, 2026. He slipped peacefully from this life with his loved ones by his side. He was a loving husband to wife, Lydia, for 31 years and devoted father to daughter, Lesley, who gave him his greatest joy, grandson Henry Chase.

Ray believed in God, family, and his country, and besides being with family, he most enjoyed the outdoors, being in nature. As of late, he could be found at the ballpark watching Henry play baseball. He also was a wonderful cook and his mama taught him.

Ray was known and loved by many in the Moundville community, as well as lumber and sawmill industry where he worked for 50+ years. His strong work ethic was unparalleled. At a young age, you could find him working alongside with his daddy in the wrecker business of Moundville. Although officially retired, he worked up until his death. In the days to come he will be remembered fondly and missed by many.
