STANTON – Richard Alston Johnson, Jr., age 88, of Stanton, Ala., died March 20, 2017. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Memory Hill Gardens with Rev. Danny Rasberry officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Irene Johnson; brother, Jack Johnson; and son-in-law, Steve Orr. Survivors include his wife, Florine Johnson; daughters, Lynn Johnson Orr, Patty Johnson Cole (Jeff) and Lisa Hall (Jimmy); sister, Patricia Dodge Nix; grandchildren, Lance Orr (Brooke) and Lee Orr (Shelly); great-grandchildren, Josh and Eliza Kate Orr; and numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service. Before that he worked at BF Goodrich for a period of time.
