Rita Gail (Majors) Jones

Rita Gail Majors Jones, 66, of Duncanville, passed away on January 30, 2022 at DCH in Tuscaloosa. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 05, 2022, at 11:00AM from Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of Prayer. Services are under the direction of Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider.

Rita was born September 30, 1955 to the late Raymond Majors and Ella C. Majors. Affectionately known by all as “Nana,” she was the matriarch of her family. Beautiful inside and out, she brought a smile to the faces of everyone who knew her. She was dependable and always present at family gatherings and any activity that her family chose to do. A wonderful wife and mother she was faithful and loving, she was exceptionally proud of her family and enjoyed bragging about all of their accomplishments. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. A wonderful teacher, she showed her family how to raise children, how to love and how to bring happiness to others. Her life was an example to everyone, the only lesson she failed to teach was showing her family how to live without her! She will be missed beyond measure.

Rita is survived by her husband Ronnie Jones; daughters Lisa Jones Garner (Kevin) of Duncanville and Rissa Leah Jones of Tuscaloosa; son Terry Robertson (Tena) of Cottondale; grandchildren: Loren Robertson (Jeremy), Raymond Garner (Averie) and Alexus Jones; great granddaughter Paisley Garner; God-grandchildren: Aaron Alexander, Jake Alexander (Kelley) and Hunter Alexander.

Serving as Active Pallbearers will be: Lonnie Garner, Jeff Albright, Roy Jones, Jeremy Robertson, Marc Erasmus and Jake Alexander.
