He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Collard and Virginia Nell Collard of Tallahassee, Fl and his brother Robert Michael Collard of Bradenton, Fl.
He is survived by his brother Robert Andrew Collard of Northport, Al; sister Susan Kidd (Lindsey) of Tallahassee, Fl; sons Joseph Collard of Tuscaloosa, Al and Patrick Collard (Heather) of Northport, Al; daughters Vicki Patterson (Ronnie) of Northport, Al, Jennifer Collard (David of Fosters, Al, Jamie Collard (Randy) of Tallahassee, Fl; grandchildren Lacy Davis, Zach Wheeler, Dalton Davis, Troy Patterson, Brayden Collard, Emma Collard, Adelyn Collard, and Weston Collard.
Steve was born February 13, 1954 in Cairo, IlI. He grew up in Tallahassee, Fl and graduated from Amos P. Godby High School. He earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Tallahassee Community College. He served in The United States Navy and retired from The State of Florida as a Corporal for the Capital Police. Steve was an avid fan of The University of Alabama football program.
