Ronald Johnson

He was a strong man in every sense of the word. He was set in his ways, knew what he believed, and wasn’t easily persuaded otherwise. Life presented him with many obstacles, but time and time again, he found a way to overcome them.

He spent his working years at Hunt Oil Refinery, dedicating much of his life to providing for the people he loved. He loved working with his hands, especially when it came to cars and trucks. Whether he was building one, rebuilding one, fixing one, or simply tinkering, he was happiest when there was something to work on.

He loved getting in the vehicle and riding around town, even when there wasn’t a destination. At home, you could often find him with the news playing on television, surrounded by the many little trinkets and treasures he collected over the years. He had a funny way of holding on to his little things while being willing to give just about anything else away. He truly was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back.

His beloved dog, Oreo, held a very special place in his heart and was a faithful companion.

Above everything else, he loved his family. His daughter and his great-grandbabies meant more to him than anything this world could offer. His love wasn’t always found in grand speeches or elaborate gestures. It was found in what he did, what he provided, what he fixed, what he gave away, and simply being there.

Those who knew him will remember a hardworking, strong-willed, and generous man who lived life in his own unmistakable way. There will never be another quite like him.
