Bean, for short, was born on April 30, 1939, to Arthur and Minnie White. She met Curt in the second grade, and they spent the rest of their lives together. Family was the most important thing to her. She loved traveling, camping, and cooking, but her favorite pastime was simply being in the company of her loved ones. Known by many variations of her name, "Mamaw" was one she preferred above all.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Curtis Darnell Jr.; her parents; sisters, Jackie Barnes (Robert) and Katherine Thompson; brothers, Ray (Irene), Clayton (Amy), Dot (joan), Thurman (Mildred), Wallace (Betty), Fred ( Bobbie), an dRuble (Louise); infant siblings, Edward, Ruth, Ruby, Lula Mae, Curtis Darnell Sr., Joe, and Danny. No family reunion we ever had could top the one they are having now!
She is survived by her daughters, Dottie Dockery (Ricky) and Connie Cooley ( Denny); grandchildren, Curtis Clements, Patrick Dockery (Demi), Crista Smith (Clay), and Dustin Dockery (Abby); great-grandchildren, Anna, Carson, Ellie, Tucker, Maggie, Deacon, and Denham; sister-in-law, Doris Pearson, Mary Ann Cannon (Glenn), Alice Cobb; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Clements, Patrick Dockery, Dustin Dockery, Rickey Dockery, Denny Colley, Clay Smith, and Joe White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dot Dockery, Chuck and Lori Pittman, employees of Hospice of West Alabama, "her girls" from HomeRN, and special caregivers Lakeisha Prewitt, Morgan Crumpton, and Johnnie Mae Black.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama in her honor.
