Ruby B. Simpson "Patty"

Patty went to rest in her heavenly home peacefully with family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. Simpson, parents, Robert Frank "Totty" and Mable Butterworth; sisters, Jimmie Sue Jacks and Kathy Shelton.

She is survived by daughters, Cindy Meads (Jim) and Tracy Welch (Steve); brothers, Robert Butterworth (Debbie) and Gene Butterworth (Jane); grandchildren, Abby Smith and Alex Masters (Carson).

After a short time as a Switchboard Operator for the phone company, Patty found her true calling as a homemaker and stay at home mom. Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Throughout her life, Patty served as a second mom to her daughters' friends and many neighborhood children. Her sweet and caring nature was felt by everyone who knew her.

Patty's cheerful disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 from 1-2 P.M. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home located on 2200 Skyland Blvd E. Tuscaloosa, AL with a graveside service to follow in the adjoining cemetery at 2 P.M.
