We were very sorry to learn of the passing of Rubye Taylor, a dear friend from University of Alabama Press days. With her warm and kind manner and her zest for life, she will be sorely missed. We send heartfelt condolences to all who loved her.

I will miss you in the world, Rubye. You were a wonderful positive person who is loved by many. I pray for your soul and will think about you.

Dear Rubye Fay, 
Your friendship meant the world to me.  I first met you as a colleague at the UA Press.  You always looked on the bright side and worked hard promoting the Press even after retiring.  We shared a love for Jesus, people, books, and Andy Griffith.   I loved hearing your stories about the press, about the two special young people who thought of you as Aunt Ru, and about your relationship with Jesus. You were a wealth of knowledge about  authors, their books, and the history of the press.   I thank God for our friendship and the fond memories I have made with you.  I am going to miss your phone calls and invitations to go to a play, church, or some special event.   I know where you are and will see you there one day.

You will be missed for so many reasons.  Your smile, your personality, and your love for the Lord!  You are among so many that have gone on ahead of you.  I hope you have seen our sweet Will!  We will see you one day soon.

Will miss this wonderful lady very much. I met her while I was in college and we worked in the tradebook department at the Supe Store together. Always loved listening to her stories and her love for Alabama. I learned so much from her. The world has lost a great person. Roll Tide, Miss Rubye!

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Rubye Fay Taylor, a very dear longtime friend.  My parents Charles and Louise Keating McGill were dear longtime friends with Rubye Fay's parents, Henry and Ruby Taylor.  We lived in Tuscaloosa, Al as The Taylors did; and we later  moved to Meridian, MS where we now live.  Our parents were buried close to one another in Evergreen Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Al. We were there today and visited Rubye Fay's gravesite.  She was a wonderful person, very close to the Lord and was an inspiration to many others.  I loved her like a younger sister.   Richard and Kathryn Gough and Family.

Rubye Fay was indeed a dear!  She will be so missed.  RIP sweet kind lady

So sad to say "goodbye" - to my cousin, Rubye Fay.  What a delightful and fun little girl ( a Junior Miss Alabama ) and a wonderful and caring woman.  I will always smile when I think of you.  We have all been blessed to have had you in our lives.  You laughed like your Dad and were sweet and caring like your Mother.  You also acted a little like Aunt Fay!  With love, Nan

Rubye, for all your warmth and good cheer, and genuine friendship, we will miss you.  Whether performing with you in To Kill a Mockingbird, or having our chats about theatre and literature in the Supe Store, our times spent with you are treasured.  We will miss you.

we truly enjoyed getting to know Rubye and the gang while we were at Northridge! She will be greatly missed!

Rubye was my "boss" at the UA Press when I was a student in 1969-1973.  Following that we NEVER lost contact with each other.  She never forgot my birthday or any event in our lives-happy or sad.  She was a true friend and loved her dearly.

I will miss all of our phone calls, visits, and arguing over our favorite shows. I am so glad I got to take you to the last Class reunion in April. I really enjoyed it; and Know how happy it made you to be there. There is no more pain and you are home with our parents  and family. I love you Cuz, and you will be missed!

I'm so saddened to learn of the passing of Rubye Fay.  We had a good visit together just two months ago at the 70th Birthday reunion of the THS Class of '63.  As her obituary said:"She had many friends and never met a stranger."  Rubye Fay was one of the nicest, sweetest persons you could ever want to know.  My mother and her mother were friends and Rubye Fay and I were friends throughout our years at TJHS and THS. She will be missed by many!

Rubye Faye, I will always remember the good times we had most favorably.  Love you, girl!

Ruby always loved taking about Jesus every chance she got,so now she is sitting and talking face to face with Jesus.Miss Ruby you will be missed by all of us.

I remember all of those after church meals we shared. I know your singing with the angels right now and smiling down on us. You and your loving attitude and excellent outlook on life will be missed. See you again one day!! Prayers to the family and friends.

A great Mayberry friend. Always so kind and considerate of others. She was a blessing and will be missed.
