Ruth R. Bailey

Ruth R. Bailey, age 87, of Brewton, Ala., died August 19, 2018, in Milton, Fla. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Victor Bonner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is directing.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Bailey and Jesse Reeves; parents, Willie J. and Catherine Cole; brothers, JW Cole and James Cole; sister, Wilma Dean Dawson; and son-in-law, Charles Boutwell.

Survivors include her daughter, Annie Boutwell of Jay, Fla.; sister, Betty Coleman of Marion, Ala.; brothers, Reuben Cole and Stanley Cole of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; grandchildren, Allen Boutwell of Northport, Ala. and Tracy Boutwell of Jay, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Cody Boutwell of Brewton, Ala., Austin Boutwell of Jay, Fla. and Breanna Blackmon of Jay, Fla.; and great-great-grandchild, Amelia Boutwell of Brewton, Ala.

Ruth was born in Greensboro, Ala. and attended school at Uniontown. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to Branson, Mo. and Nashville, Tenn. to listen to take in the music, camping and cooking for others. She worked at various places including the toy plant in Brent and Phifer Wire products.

She enjoyed being around her grandkids.

Pallbearers will be David Coleman, Ricky Coleman, Justin Coleman, Barry Cole, Larry Cole and Allen Boutwell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital.
