

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Wilkins officiating.
Graveside services will immediately follow from Memory Hill Gardens, under the direction of Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity provider.
Sara was born on November 2, 1948, to the late John Hurtis Carr, Sr. and Frances Carr. She started a career as a cosmetologist and later found an immense love for quilting. Sara did not keep her passion for quilting to herself, but she chose to share it with others, including Charitable Organizations, family, and friends. She was a member of the West Alabama Quilt Guild. Sara loved Jesus and was looking forward to going to be with Him.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters: Claire Jones and Frances Moore, and brothers: Milton Carr, Harold Carr, Elbert Carr and John Hurtis Carr, Jr.
She is survived by her husband Aubrey Gordon Terrell of Northport, daughter Tonya (Josh) Baines of Fosters, sisters Carolyn Massey of Coker and Betty Davis of Northport, grandson Austin Terrell of Fosters and, of course, Harley, her beloved dog.
Serving as Active Pallbearers will be James Tierce, Austin Terrell, Josh Baines, Tommy Davis, Mike Hayes, and Brian Davis. The family wishes to recognize: Fay Le Clair, Pam Sterling, Marjorie Spence, Martha Smith, Joyce Maxey, Yvonne Green, Aurelia Swann, West Alabama Quilt Guild, Marilyn Hayes, Maxine Marlow, Dr. Stephen Browne and Dr. Vachhani as Honorary Pallbearers.
