Sarah Joyce Lowe McDaniel

Sarah Joyce Lowe McDaniel, 82, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 28, 2020. Her funeral service will be at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Friday, July 3, 2020. Visitation at 1:00 P.M., and funeral following at 2:00 P.M. Sarah was born March 2, 1938 at home in Reform, Alabama to Aubery Moore Lowe and Esther Keasler Lowe. She was an only child. Sara graduated valedictorian of Pickens County High School in 1956. She received her nursing degree from Druid City School of Nurses’. She was married to William Arthur McDaniel, and they had three children. During her nursing career, she worked at Caraway Methodist Medical Center, Blount Memorial and Riley Hospitals. In her spare time, she was an accomplished piano player, enjoyed reading and crocheting, and was an avid collector of vintage dolls. Sarah is preceded by her parents Aubery M. and Esther K. Lowe, husband William Author McDaniel, and daughter-in-law Deloris E. McDaniel. She is survived by her daughter Sadie Lyn Clark, sons William Lowe McDaniel (Paula) and Emery Dale McDaniel. Grandchildren: Valerie Lyn Clark Payne (Aaron), Amber Nicole Wilson (Stathon), Christopher T. Vergeson, and Daniel K. Vergeson (Chynne), Christy Simms, William N. Frazier, Casey L. Frazier, Neola R. Roseberry (Jarrod). Greatgrandchildren: Anna Celeste Wilson, Kandis Tidwell, Lydia Claire Vergeson, Kodee Hendricks (Christina), Logun Hendricks, Milez Hendricks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Safe Place Network and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
