Sereana Ann O'Brien

DUNCANVILLE Sereana Ann Chanell O'Brien, age 66, of Duncanville, died Sept. 23, 2010, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Latham Channell; her sisters, Helen Thomas, Peggy Rice, and Bobbie Leslie; her nephew, Michael Thomas; and her uncle, Preston Boothe.

Survivors include her sons Scott O'Brien (Lynda) of Duncanville and Chris O'Brien (Amy) of Fosters; and her grandson Patrick O'Brien of Duncanville.

Ann loved the Lord, her sons, and her grandson. She loved her sisters' children as if they were her own. God truly blessed her with her grandson Patrick, who was the joy and sunshine in her life. She served her country as a Wave in the US Navy.

Pallbearers will be Glynn Wheat, Rod Burnette, Bret Hughes, Phil O'Brien, Ricky Pendley, and David Leslie.

Honorary pallbearers are the Faith Sunday School class, East McFarland Baptist Church, Drs. Hassany, Sanford, and Hughes, the Angels at the Cancer Care Center, Dr. Wayne Rhode, who did so much for Ann, and for whom she had such a friendship and respect, Jack and Ann Hendrix, Marchelle and Jeff
