She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, William Chester Brunner; her daughter Leslie Jones; her stepson, Kory Brunner; her mother, Mary Nell Albright; her sister, Pam G. Hodges (Mark); a number of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George W Gilliland; her sister, Betty Ann Gilliland Meggs; her infant daughter, Lori Geer; and her grandson, Brody Jones.
Shirley dedicated 35 years of her life being a loyal employee to Druid City Regional Medical Center before her retirement from there.
Pallbearers will be Ty Green, Kory Brunner, Keith Moore, and Hannon Elmore.
Honorary pallbearers are Druid City Regional Medical Center, Amedisys Hospice group, and her special caregivers: Bobbi Harris, Amy Childers, and Darlene King.
