Sidney W. Bolton, Sr.

NORTHPORT - Sidney W. Bolton, Sr., age 83, of Northport, Ala., passed away August 7, 2020. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Herb Thomas and Ben Jameson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bolton Sr. and Thelma Burger Bolton, and three brothers: Joe Bolton Jr, Hendon Bolton, and Lendon Bolton.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Eva Bolton; sister, Betty Davison of Daphne; brothers, Edward Bolton (Mina) of Mobile, Doug Bolton of New York; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bolton, and Judy Bolton; children, Sidney Bolton, Jr. and Steve Bolton of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Haleigh Bolton and Josh Bolton of Tuscaloosa; step-children, Roger Sanford (Jill), Mark Sanford (Heather); step-grandchildren, Jacob Sanford (Mallory), Austin Sanford and Erin Sanford.

Pallbearers will be Josh Bolton, Jacob Sanford, Austin Sanford, Clay Hahn, Chris Crowder, and Paul Fretwell.

Honorary Pallbearers are Circlewood Baptist, Five Points Baptist, First Wesleyan, Alabama Central Glass, and the Channell sisters. Close friends include Billy Chism, Wayne Porter, George Hinkle, Keith Hudson, and his little buddy Rosco.

He was a native of Mobile, Ala. but lived in Tuscaloosa, and was the previous owner of Alabama Central Glass Co.
