Slade Wilson Holcomb

Slade Holcomb, age 16 of Moundville, Alabama, went to his eternal home way too soon on October 19, 2025. He was born on May 14, 2009. He brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning.

He was a member of the Hale County High School Class of 2028 where he was an Honor Student. He was known for his warm heart, kindness and his respect for his peers and others.

He enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing video games with them as well. He also enjoyed going to the beach and camping with his parents and brother Grayson and playing with the family dog, Bella.

Slade is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Ruth and James "Buddy" Johnston, Ethal and Thomas Holcomb, and Deborah Wilson.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Trina Holcomb; brother, Grayson Holcomb (Meredith Gibson); sisters, Jennifer Dunkling (Josh) and Alanna Holcomb; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who meant the world to him.

A visitation will be held at Moundville Baptist Church on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will take place at the same venue starting at 11:30 am with Pastor Jason Duckett officiating. A Committal service will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Wilson, Hudson Humphryes, Gordon Parker "GP" Knight, Caleb "Mookie" Johnson, Alex Morrison, Carson Goins, Carson Bates, and Gertry Kelley.

Honorary pallbearers are Hale County High School Class of 2028, Pam and Shannon Baily, Baleigh Walters and Eugene Waid.
