Tammy Rene Robertson, 64, of Peterson, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at 1:12 PM. Tammy was born on April 3, 1961, at DCH in Tuscaloosa to the late Samson Day McGee and Peggy Faye McGee. She was a proud graduate of Brookwood High and continued her education at Shelton Community College, where she earned her nursing degree. She worked at DCH and Bryce.
More than anything, Tammy loved her family. She loved them, and right alongside them was her beloved dog Larry, who held a special place in her heart and thought he was in charge most days. Tammy was known for being quick-witted, funny, and always ready with a remark at just the right moment. She loved her coffee and sweets and watching her favorite crime and ghost shows. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. Tammy will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
Tammy is survived by her daughter, Krystal Leah Robertson, her son, Donald James Robertson, and her mother, Peggy Faye McGee. She was predeceased by her father, Samson Day McGee, and her grandparents, TC and Lora Kizziah.
Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, located at 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, AL, 35405, on February 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 11:45 am, with the committal service from 11:45 am to 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Krystal Robertson, Donald Robertson, Andy Freeman, Jordan Coker, Derrick Price, and Michael Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ray and Dr. Wilks.
