Duncanville – Teresa Anna Snipes Patton, age 77, passed away peacefully at home September 28, 2022. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Ms. Patton was preceded in death by her parents, Ruttledge and Elmira Snipes,; first husband, Johnny Lee Patton, Sr.; second husband, D.L. Robertson; son, Johnny Lee Patton, Jr.; granddaughter, Christina Reneé Patton; and brothers, Johnnie Moses and Joe Snipes.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Ann Robertson (David) of Duncanville, Ala.; son, Rodney DeWayne Patton of Cottondale, Ala.; sister, Dora Farley of Centreville, Ala.; grandchildren, Johnny Lee Patton III (Cassey), Valeri Michelle Robertson, Audrey LeAnn Duke (Michael), Ashley Nichole Morrison (Robert), Crystal Gayle Walters (Tim), Cory DeWayne Patton, Dylan Clarence Lee Patton, Nicholas Lee Patton, and Paige Elizabeth Patton; great-grandchildren, Cameron Lee Patton, Dakota Wesley Wood (Treasure), Kaden Lee Jones, Keele Ann Algoe, Hunter Lane Wood (Kylie), Rhett Robertson Turnipseed, Katelin Lee Algoe, Ashton Cole Patton, Reagan Raine Boyd, Lyla Brooke Turnipseed, Matthew Greyson Patton, Thomas Blake Algoe, Braxten Wesley Walters, Mize Preston Turnipseed, Whitlee Chanel Robertson, Cody Rohe Badgwell, Luke Monroe Turnipseed, Brianna Reneé Walters, Emery Layne Turner, and Lana Rebecca Turner; great-great grandchild, Luca Monroe Wood; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Teresa worked at CoEd Collar Company when she was widowed at age 27 with three children. She went on to the Police Academy and became one of the first women police officers at the Tuscaloosa City Police Department. Later she went to work at Bryce Hospital as a medical transcriptionist, from where she retired.
Teresa loved her family and spending time with them more than anything. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, fishing, watching football, and playing cards and games.
She was a wonderful Mama and Maw Maw. We will miss her every day.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Patton, Hunter Wood, Rhett Turnipseed, Ashton Patton, Robert Morrison, and Brayden Morrison.
