Dear Avery Family,
I came to know your mother twenty -five years ago when I was a volunteer at West Alabama Rehabilitation Center and assisting her in planning the Mall Ball. She reflected those rare attributes of both inner and outer beauty and a self-less spirt of God's love for others.
During a difficult loss, she wrote the most beautiful note of encouragement and concern which I have kept all these many years. She will remain in my heart always as very special friend who cared not only for me but many others throughout the Tuscaloosa community.
May God's peace be with you all.

Handy,
I can not remember the time I did not know you and your family. I have had contact with you mother over the years from our youth and found a most loving and beautiful person inwardly and out. Please accept my condolences in this time of personal trial, but remember you will see her and you dad again.

I just want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but it is such a blessing to know that Theresa is now in Heaven where there is no more pain and suffering. She was truly an amazing person and I am so grateful she was with us at Hospice of West Alabama during her final days. Just hold on to the thought that you all will see her again and what a blessing it will be.
