Dear Avery Family,
I came to know your mother twenty -five years ago when I was a volunteer at West Alabama Rehabilitation Center and assisting her in planning the Mall Ball. She reflected those rare attributes of both inner and outer beauty and a self-less spirt of God's love for others.
During a difficult loss, she wrote the most beautiful note of encouragement and concern which I have kept all these many years. She will remain in my heart always as very special friend who cared not only for me but many others throughout the Tuscaloosa community.
May God's peace be with you all.

To Theresa's family:
I regret very much I am unable to be present in person for the celebration of Theresa's life, talent, beauty and faith. We were friends for almost all our lives. I remember her gratefully today, and all of you are in my prayers.

Terri,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of grief and loss. Your mother was always so beautiful inside and out with her sweet smile, voice and sparkling eyes when I would see her on Sundays at First Baptist. God bless you at this time.

Handy,
I can not remember the time I did not know you and your family. I have had contact with you mother over the years from our youth and found a most loving and beautiful person inwardly and out. Please accept my condolences in this time of personal trial, but remember you will see her and you dad again.
Your Friend in Christ
