Thomas Wayne Freeman was born December 3, 1970, and left to join the Lord on January 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Ima Ray and Mack and Bessie Freeman. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Stephanie, his children Isaiah, and Bailee (Tony), his parents Thomas and Doris Freeman, his in-laws Ronald and Sarah House, brother Shane, sister, Tommy Lynn, his nephew Hunter, nieces Abbie and Tiphany, great-nephew Leon, and great-niece Aminah. Wayne had an adventurous spirit and loved road trips. He has been known to stay up all night to watch snow fall. He was passionate about football and cheered and yelled the loudest for Alabama. He loved desserts, but not without a glass of milk. He had a wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh, which is how he faced life and its challenges. To know him was to love him and he made friends wherever he went. But his greatest adventure and joy was being a dad. There was no place he wanted to be more than with his family. His loss has left a deep void in our family, but we hold onto the promise of God that we will be reunited with him (John 14:1-3).
A celebration of life for Thomas will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Peterson Community Church, 8801 Tidewater Street, Cottondale, AL 35453.
