Thomas Willoughby Pierson, age 88, died April 20, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Memory Chapel with Joey Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Pierson and parents, Ottis and Arie Pierson. Survivors include his wife Shirley Pierson; daughter, Wanda Cook (Mark); sons, Danny Pierson (Regina) and Rock Pierson; sister, Faye Shelby; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Mike Pierson, Dennis Tingle, Michael Hudson, Walter Prentice Jr., Tyler Prentice, Dustin Kizer, Sean Ryan and Richard Colvin. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Larry Skelton, DaVita Dialysis, ICU at DCH Regional Medical Center and H & H Hunting Club, Glenda Hudson, Renthia Tingle, Janie Smelser, David Greene, Dewayne Albright, and Roy Woods.
