Tina was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her generous spirit and encouraging heart. A former special education teacher, she had a deep compassion for others and a gift for nurturing those around her. She was a devoted member of Skyland Baptist Church and a proud alumna of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Tina had a soft spot for animals—especially her beloved cat, Oakley—and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like watching baking and cooking shows or spending time with her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, and she made everyone feel special with her warm presence and kind words.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristy (George); her son, Chad; and her cherished grandchildren: Ryder, Lucy, Finn, and Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James and Frances Thompson.
Tina will be remembered as a giver, an encourager, and a woman whose love for her family was steady and strong. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family who loved her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jon Wiggins presiding.
Pallbearers will be George Edmondson, Ryder Edmondson, Marlin Smith, and Tony Burroughs.
