Virgie Lillian Swindal Parker, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, died Dec. 25, 2010, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Donald G. Payne and Albert Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston P. Parker, five sisters, four brothers, and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Lana Parker Dennis (Richard) of Tuscaloosa; her son, Larry Franklin Parker (Terrye) of Tuscaloosa; her sister, Notie Hamner of Tuscaloosa; her brother, Leon Swindal (Betty) of Bessemer; her grandchildren, Ashley Jo Parker Tucker (Jimmy) of Buford, Ga. and Lindsey Lea Parker Morgan (Brian) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her great-grandchildren, Isaiah Parker Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., Jolea Ann Tucker of Buford, Ga., and Levi Briggs Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
